Activate your identity in 5 steps!

1. Open the app and enter your personal details

A photo of the ID is enough to extract the information necessary to activate the digital identity. Information such as name, surname, CNP, series and number of the bulletin will be used to verify the authenticity of the information.

2. Take a selfie with your face

An app selfie photo on your mobile phone is used to check similarity to the photo in your ID.

3. Shoot a video by moving your head

We record a video in which we invite you to rotate your head in 3 directions randomly chosen by the application on your phone. Do not move your head too much, make sure you always see both eyes in the video on the screen so that the face is always visible on the phone screen.

4. Keep filming your ID card

We continue to record the movement of the bulletin in front of the video camera. It is important to see your face all the time during this process and the identity card to be positioned as well as possible in the rectangle indicated on the screen.

5. Record an audio-video clip in which you read the text displayed by the application

We record a video in which we invite you to read clearly, loudly and very clearly the words indicated on the screen. There is enough time, do not rush and do not bring the phone closer than before, it will sound good enough.

Where can I use?

You can use ROeID in IT platforms managed by public institutions as you now use your Facebook or Google account to log in to other private platforms. ROeID is interconnected with Ghișeul.ro, PCUe, ANRE and other city hall platforms.

What do I need to activate my ROeiD digital identity?

You need an Android smartphone or iPhone and ID card. Using the ROeID application installed on your mobile phone you will take a picture of your identity card, a selfie picture with your face as well as a 20-second movie in which you will move the position of your head as requested on the screen.

How should I move my head?

The movement of the head should be done so that both eyes see each other in the picture all the time. Don't turn your head if you can't see your phone with both eyes. That's it!

I fail, I keep getting a rejection message, what can I do?

The information you send us is thoroughly verified by our computer system. Very likely, the brightness and clarity of the photographs, ID card and film is not good enough to allow an identification of the information provided. Go close to a light source and take pictures with the light behind the camera. Make sure there are no bright reflections on your ID card when you photograph it. Present your original ID card during video recording according to the on-screen instructions. Read clearly, loudly and very clearly the words indicated on the screen. Don't hold your phone close to you. Your image should be visible when you speak.
